A multi-media artist, I design metal sculptures, most often using reclaimed materials and sometimes incorporating backlit stone. Combining disparate elements is characteristic of my work and I strive for uncluttered simplicity. I also disassemble and reconstruct furniture.
My two dimensional work includes painting, printmaking , photography, and mixed media constructions. This work is abstract in style, having highly textural surfaces. Geometric shapes influence my compositions. Representational elements are sometimes introduced using fragments of photographs.
Curatorial services and art installation are a major part of my work, currently with Willow Loft Gallery (website) located at 2 East Rose Street in Walla Walla, Washington’s award-winning downtown.
Now living in the Northwest, much of my life continues to take me back east to the Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington D.C. area; giving me the fortunate experience of living with and learning from, both the west and the east coast sensibilities.
